“I had my procedure done 9/28/23 loose skin removal n laser liposuction, worse pain in my entire life first day was so excruciating I thought I was going to pass out, leaking blood all over my bathroom floor, had several post op visits which went well except for the last one doctor said I have visceral fat to lose then he'll redo the procedure at no cost then why wasn't that brought up at first consultation about my visceral fat, now I called the office this week n they said I had one year to lose the visceral fat n again it wasn't discussed at my last visit, I paid over $13,000 now each time I talk to sonobello it's a different story n if I originally had visceral fat why did they complete the procedure, I want my money back because I've gained weight in my upper/lower abdomen n my hips have these hideous lumps ontop now that I didn't have these bulges before, I want a full refund this is not acceptable to have my body image n hips bulging out like this after spending all this money n pain n suffering this doctor isn't going to put me through this again 😢😭😥😰🙏”

“I like that I was given pricing right away, and there was no waiting until the surprise at the end. What I did not like is pricing is based on BMI, which is not accurate for people who are reasonably in shape and just need to handle a problem area. The quote I got was equal to traidtional lypo. The other thing is I waited 45 minutes past my appt time and no one said anything to me about being late or when I'd be seen. They they took 2 people before me who came in well after. I left when I heard one lady complian that she called the doctor threes times without a call back. Considering the cost associated with this, the service should be exceptional. When i told the front i was leaving, they just gave me an "ok" like they could care less. No apology, no "let me see if I can get you in"...nothing.”

“This was the most painful thing I have ever gone through! I don’t think I was told exactly how painful this would be. When I went for my consultation, the woman said she had had it done on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. I find that hard to believe as I am, one week out and can barely get out of bed! They give me 77 shots of local, which in and of itself was incredibly painful! They nurse
had me wear colored glasses because they were using lasers. Then put a towel over my face when the procedure started. I had told them I was an OR tech and had seen this procedure done many times so I knew what was happening. They did not use any lasers as lasers are not used in this procedure , they also covered my eyes I believe so I couldn’t see what they were doing as I wasn’t asleep, but just localized. I complained of pain many times during the procedure, and was given a ball to squeeze! As if that made it any better! It appeared everyone was compassionate before the procedure but during it I felt like a piece of meat on a slab! ”

One significant reason for this review stems from a glaring "error" made by the Silver Spring consultation center. Despite clear communication about my desired procedures and a provided quote, I was blindsided on the day of my second surgery. Less than one hour after being discharged, driving home, still under the influence of post-operative medication, I received a call informing me of a "forgotten" charge. This blatant disregard for my well-being and legal rights, coupled with their inability to adhere to basic protocols, is inexcusable. The fact that they had the audacity to request approval for additional charges while I was not in my right state of mind, still recovering from the medications, without giving me the common courtesy or decency to wait until the next day or when I was in a clear state of mind, is utterly reprehensible. Her repeated attempts resulted in an excruciating mix-up, causing IV fluid to spill into my bloodstream, causing intense burning sensation. Despite her evident struggle, she persisted, attempting multiple times and failing, before I firmly refused further attempts and demanded another nurse. This negligence and lack of basic skill highlight the alarming inadequacies in Sono Bello's patient care standards.

Due to their overwhelming patient load, attempting to contact Sono Bello for assistance or clarification proves futile. My advice? Seek answers from alternative Sono Bello locations, if at all.

I am on a journey of recovery and healing, I remain hopeful but cautious. Should I consider further procedures, Sono Bello will not be my choice.

Tips for prospective patients:
• Be aware that the number of procedures performed is contingent upon weight and BMI, often necessitating multiple surgeries.
• Follow-up appointments solely involve photo documentation, with no opportunity for direct interaction with doctors.
• Do not expect personalized attention or pre-surgery consultations with doctors.
• Review cost breakdowns meticulously; Sono Bello charges separately for each treated area.
• Prepare for significant post-surgical discomfort, despite claims of minimal invasiveness.
My experience with Sono Bello has left me disenchanted and dissatisfied. Proceed with caution, and consider alternative options before entrusting them with your care.”

Amber called me back for my Venus therapy treatment and performed her magic. I went in thinking that I would do the ABEX procedure and after talking to the first person I realized that I had other, less drastic options to improve my appearance. “My results are absolutely beautiful and I am only 1 WEEK POST OP😝🎊😆! My Magician/ Surgeon was Dr.O when I tell you this man has magical powers and he knows how to use his magic wand 🪄! They don’t need to call this procedure Laser Lipo, they need to call it The Magic Wand Lipo! Dr. Onyewu did an absolutely work of art on my arms, upper/lower abs, and waist. He is truly a master at his craft.

I am a week and 3 days post op and I am doing many techniques to assist in the speed of my recovery while also assisting with the comfort of my body transitioning. This is not a comfortable procedure nor was I expecting it be and I am able to tolerate a high level of discomfort. I have had 3 children, 2 was natural while I labored at home until my water broke both times. So I am not a normal/average human lol.

Some techniques they recommend I feel are going to be great for later on in my recovery like a month out.These 3 specific techniques I feel like are a life saver for me during these first days/weeks of recovery because anything else I know my skin wouldn’t be able to tolerate yet.

Brushing my skin has been such a life saver, as well as water treatment/therapy utilizing the water in the shower to loosen the lumps and bumps and swelling. My favorite is massaging my skin in the areas I had sculpted with oil! The instant relief from this combination in this specific order has been a life saver for me.

But Brushing is something I do consistently throughout the day, it improves a lot of the nerve sensation and sensitivity I am experiencing. I do this for sometimes 1hr to 2hrs.

Sono Bello was my final choice after doing lots of consultations in the DMV/Baltimore area. I felt as if I was clearly understood about my results while also receiving great suggestions and recommendations as to how I can achieve that. This to me was the best part of my experience. My body is my temple and I value the transparency and honesty and integrity of this specific Hanover Location.”

“Let me start off by saying that I'm not a Sonobello Ambassador. I just want to share my experience 2 days after having TriSculpt (tummy & waist on 6/29/23). The entire procedure was 2.5 hours from signing in to being wheeled out.

-Consult & preop
(1) Jennifer was my consultant. She was cool w/ her attenpts at slight banter. She ended up saving me $3k....cha-ching
(2) I was very apprehensive b/c I'm petrified of needles (can't even look at'em). Jennifer recommended Dr.. Epps
(3) Deanna(?) that works w/ Dr. Epps was amazing & made the butterflies dissipate

- Day of Surgery:
1. My nurse (Kim) was amazing as well, especially when she started my IV
2. Dr. Epps is pretty no-nonsense, which didn't bother me at all...got me in & and got me out
3. That marker he used to draw on me was a bit rough, felt like beard stubble against my soft skin....ouch
4 I believe he put on the music I asked for, but I had my own music playing in my headphones as well, but after I took my "happy pills" it didn't matter anyhow
5. He removed 2.5 liters of fat...yellow & yucky 🤮

Here are my takeaways after my procedure on 6/29/23:
- Things definitely to have on hand
(1) Prescriptions. I had 3, but couldn't take the Tramadol for pain & really didn't need it. Just had mild discomfort so I flushed those & took 600mg Motrin instead
(2) Shower curtain liner & dark towel. I highly recommend sleeping on both (towel ontop of liner) for drainage & until you can get out of bed w/ out help
(3) Disinfectant wipes. I had serious drainage that leaked on the floor & toilet when changing the pads' for dressings
(4) Flushable wipes. No explanation needed
(5) Adult diapers vs pads. My stage 1 garment's seat wasn't aligned to my "girly part" when using the bathroom. With that being said I ended up wearing undies over top of my garment, but hopefully you won't have that issue.

-Day after procedure:
1. Shower. Lather the badges w/ the antibacterial soap to help remove gauze & tape
2. Wash & wear your stage 1 garment regularly
3. Avoid picking up anything off the floor until your discomfort subsides, leave it unless you've fallen & can't get up. Ask for help....codependent vs independent
4. Take your meds
5. Use the Arnicare cream everytime U go to the bathroom

-My results (So far, I'm VERY Pleased)
1. Numbness & waist discomfort...to be expected
2. I've been able to tighten my garment hooks
3. Having a chauffeur, but will start driviing myself (7/3/23)

I too have experienced rudeness from Brittany at the front desk. During my consultation, I was told by Jenny that if I actually went through with the surgery that myself and the person who referred would each receive a $350 gift card. The paperwork was completed on the spot during consultation. Since then. Jenny has not returned my calls. Even on the day I came to pickup my faja I was brushed off by Brittany who supposedly spoke with Jenny and was informed to tell me that Jenny was busy.

RESULTS
As for my results, I called twice e and informed, you gues who? Yup, Brittany that I was having an issue with my back rolls as they are still showing. Of course, I was informed during calls that someone would get back to me regarding my results. Fast forward I am here now at my 3 month following up just getting ready, since a week post op, to discuss my results. I will update you guys once I am done.”

“4 weeks post op (Abex) here! The front desk personnel is rude. They definitely don’t like to help people except for the day you’re paying. My procedure was pretty much painless. A little discomfort at the end when Dr. Epps was closing my incision. In my first post op appointment I communicated that I still have excess skin specially in my left side. The nurse told me it was the swelling. As today, I still very unhappy with my results. This procedure don’t worth $7,400 ( only skin removal/ no lipo) I feel scammed. I regret every penny I spent on this place.

Update: I’m now 9 weeks post Abex (no lipo). I still have some swelling, but I still can see some extra skin, specially in my left side and still not happy with my results. About the front desk personnel, in my last visit I was treated with respect at least.”

Jazzy was so sweet I dealt with her every time i was in the office very friendly with a great personality.. .I see alot of complaining about the office staff on here... how is that even possible everyone there was so pleasant and welcoming I felt like I knew these people forever!

So far my experience with Sonobello has been nothing but amazing! Yaneek was absolutely amazing in making me feel comfortable there. You guys definitely need not ever let her go!! She even came to check on me...I can't remember my nurses name I was completely out of it. But she was amazing as well... she took very good care of me no doubt ams as soo. As soon as I remember her name I will edit this.... now last but not least Dr O... omg I couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He did everything in his power to make me feel welcomed amd like he truly cared. I will definitely be returning to him . Had an amazing experience .

The receptionist was nice to inform me that they were still not ready to see me. This office needs to do a better job of scheduling potential clients far enough apart to avoid excessive wait times. “I had my original procedure in July last year Abex Upper and lower abs waist and they were supposed to do the bra role too. They hit the limit for maryland regulations and could not do the bra role. I went yesterday for the bra role and since I was there they did a revision of areas that got missed. I was extremely anxious because of the incredible pain I had after the first procedure. Gotta say definitely not as much pain as the first one. Only thing I can advise for a revision is don’t be the last patient of the day. They didn’t allow the pre procedure meds to really take effect and I sure did feel the procedure way more than the first one in July. The staff there was great especially Julie my nurse. Dr. Epps was great as well. He has a great bedside manner and joked around with me which helped ease my anxiety. Thank you to everyone in the Hanover/Baltimore Maryland office. ”

“Nothing against Sono Bello in general, but this office is just so unprofessional. You may be better off going to another office where the practitioners are kinder, more helpful, and are not ignoring patients to talk about what they want for lunch.
Honestly, when it comes to procedures of the bod (a very serious and vulnerable subject) Sono Bello should really train their staff in Hanover to be more attentive, caring, and less dismissive. Why would I have my procedure done with a company in which the staff member I meet for my consultation has an angry demeanor, stares at me blankly, and acts as if she wants me to leave her office? No thank you. I was literally there for 5 minutes and left.
