“I had my Abex and liposuction completed by Dr. Bowker in July, and after 5 months, I'm so happy with the results. Sara, my OR nurse, explained everything and made me feel so comfortable. The only thing I would say should be done differently, and this is based on others that have had the procedure as well, is that they need to do a much better job explaining the recover process and that it entails. The recovery is a bit more difficult than what was explained, but it was well worth the results. Be prepared to do some sort of lymphatic massage after the surgery. You'll thank me later.”

“Real deal my experience

The from desk lady was so nice every time I came in made me feel welcomed I loved that about her … I can’t remember her name but she sits on the left side when you walk in and she is African-American and had locs (((I’m African-American as well before y’all get to tripping I just want her to get her credit for being amazing)))… I was on time for my appointment and probably had to wait like 15 minutes or less any time I came in to be called back but it wasn’t a big deal that’s normal like any other doctor appointment.

My consultation was with brooke davila I told her exactly what I wanted and goals I got waist and upper stomach and lower stomach… I kinda wanted to get back and bra area but I wasn’t sure … she told me it would be beneficial but wasn’t pushy about it said

“maybe come back later after you see how you look after you heal with the 3 things I already chose “

she gave me the price and threw on some discounts I paid my $1000 which is the upfront payment you have to put down and the rest was financed I knew what my payments would be before I left and got my post op and procedure day appointment before I left brooke even gave me her personal number if I wanted to change anything later

Every body I dealt with was amazing from my pre op appointment with Yolanda and dr tanwani … doctor tanwani was honest with me suggesting the bra area but wasn’t pushy

((( i know my back has quite a bit of fat so I wasn’t surprised ))) so once I’m healed if my back is still fat I can’t blame sono bello cause that was area I didn’t get

he told me my stomach wouldn’t be complete flat because there is fat in my muscles and with the procedure I’m getting they don’t go that deep they take off 70 percent of Pinchable fat and that I could workout out and change my diet to lose the rest which I understood and was okay with that …Yolanda gave me some advice on ways I could make sure I had a good recovery which I ordered a few of the thing she suggested

On my actual procedure day with Amaya … Amaya was amazing I’m lowkey scared of needles she put the IV in fast and easy

Dr tanwani was so cool ensuring me I’ll be okay checked on me like 5 times when I was waiting to go in the procedure room cause he knew how nervous I was he was gentle during the procedure we even had some short conversation to keep my mind occupied during the procedure

Amaya checked on me the whole way played music I like during the procedure once I was done was polite and gentle getting me dressed making sure I was comfortable amazing young lady

So I know sono bello has a lot of bad reviews but this was real deal my experience for the people that are hesitant I went in there knowing what I wanted and I wasn’t going in wasting their time or mine I had a list of questions ready that I asked and I was satisfied with the answers and agreed to go ahead and sign up for the procedure… and I also went in giving respect so I didn’t experience anyone being rude … also you have to be realistic with yourself if you are super overweight and have a lot of fat you can’t just get upper stomach and lower stomach… and think your gonna walk out a model .. and look super different..your probably gonna need back bra rolls waist, hips, upper lower stomach etc … and the more areas you do the more expensive it is … the fatter you are the more expensive it’s gonna be ….

“Do not do it. They just want your money. Do not let them finance you, or apply for financing on your behalf. Interest rates will be through the roof. If you ask for something in particular for your surgery and they respond with how they always do it, RUN! They do not listen to the patient or what the patient is looking for in their results. They will not offer any education or support regarding your procedures but expect you to know how to properly care for your incisions and post-op care based off your own Google research. Avoid Sonobello and this particular location at all cost!”

I really didn't have many question once I met with Dr. Bowker (who has an awesome bedside demeanor, who is gentle, compassionate, and who is meticulous in his sculpting) because his team is on point, but he also thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. I would like to extend my thanks to the Patient Relations Department for their dedication in addressing my concerns.

This is the level of customer service I was hoping for, Their proactive and professional approach reflects the high standards I expect and appreciate.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had involved their sales consultants making promises they couldn't keep. I was informed that they couldn't determine the fees for the operation until after it was performed, leading to me being charged the maximum amount.

Post-operation, I was supposed to meet the doctor three times. However, a week after the operation, I only met with the nurse, who informed me that there was no need for another appointment a month later and that I should return in three months. My appointment, scheduled for tomorrow, has now been postponed due to their staff shortage, and the earliest available slot is a month from now.

Their unhelpfulness was evident when they assured me initially that if I was unsatisfied with the results, they would arrange a follow-up with the doctor. Unfortunately, I am now being told that I have to wait another six months for this.

I do not advise anyone to deal with this institution, as they do not fulfill their promises and are unprepared to provide the level of service they claim to offer.”

It’s not an over night miracle, but I could see immediate results. Amanda was my nurse the day of the procedure, and though it sounds weird to be awake through the procedure, I was mostly comfortable and was constantly verbally reassured and kept informed on what was happening and what was next. “I called to set up a consultation. After hearing how tall I am and how much I weigh, the lady immediately had "computer problems" and then after waiting for about a min on hold, she hung up on me. “I had lipo on the following: upper and lower abs, waist and bbr. I was told that it was highly likely that my skin would tighten afterwards, due to a lack of stretch marks in the areas that I had liposuction. This was not true and I HATE the loose skin as a result. I have loose skin in all areas that received liposuction. I continue to wear my faja because I feel uncomfortable without it (helps flatten the loose skin). I have had several treatments at another locations, Lymphatic Express, to assist with the skin tightening, but this has not helped (in addition the nurse at Sono Bello did not see that I had a seroma at my first appointment, I went to Lymphatic Express the next day and they saw it and drained it). I now plan to find a location to get BodyTite after September (my 1-year mark).

Fyi: if I knew before that I would have loose skin, I would have lost more weight prior to having liposuction or looked for something different, like bodytite.”

Included in the price were follow up appointments including "venus" treatments that keep the midsection smooth. I never received everything that I paid for, including the bodices nor venus treatments. While I've had some improvement, the advertising is misleading. I definitely do not look and did not have the same results as advertised. It wasn't worth the price and I was disappointed.”

“This has been the worse experience of my life. I should have paid attention to the sign of being overlooked by Jasmine in the Fort Worth office on my consultation visit. I eventually was seen that morning and paid $7,160 for liposuction. About a week later I had chest pains that were confirmed to be a heart condition and high blood pressure. I didn't trust their doctor to give me a truthful pre-op evaluation. I informed Jasmine I would need to cancel because of my condition and my Lupus flare up. She said that's not a problem, you can still have the surgery. We treat a lot of people with Lupus. Why is a sales consultant giving out medical advice? I told her I'm not willing to die for cosmetic surgery. She just let out an annoyed sigh over the phone. I showed proof to Jasmine and their Clinical Team because they informed me that was all I needed for a refund. Very, very poor communication with these people. They don't want to answer any questions or give a truthful reply. They still haven't refunded any of my money. This has been going on since 12/10/2023. I emailed them all and was told that my primary doctor needed to fill out the medical a clearance. I asked for a copy of the medical clearance so I could be sure the primary doctor received it. The Clinical Team never faxed it the doctor's office or me. They are stressing me out and keeping my blood pressure high. This is theft. I am not going away and I'm not dropping all of my complaints until I get all of my money refunded.”

“One star only because I really want the ones that give the honest truth to have recognition . I had my procedure 3 months ago and after 1 week check up I inquired about the massage only to be told by the nurse that it was too soon and to wait for Venus. Which I did... however after 3 months I am very unsatisfied with how puffy I look since I was advised to massage myself the incorrect way. I'm now just as puffy and full of solid fat that should have been drained out first week after procedure. Today I had my first lymphatic massage which was very pleasant. However much fat has to be melted and moved since I did not have it done soon after surgery. And come to find out quite a few SonoBello patiences have had to find out the hard way as I have. It's $1,700 additionally the hard way. And I honestly suggest that Sonobello has some part of the financial responsibility since I was given some very expensive advise. However not all the staff was misleading and for those who weren't you are the only reason for the star and you deserve 5. From the consulting representative thank you The surgeon and nurse day of operation and for the ones after operation who were more knowledgeable ... I still do not agree with the additional I have to pay for what could have been taken care of sooner and cost less. Especially since SonoBello is unable to provide the massages I need ... Yes please feel free to contact for a resolution at this point the lymphatic massage is making the progress not SonoBello. Had it not been foe the last nurse I saw last nurse I saw Now 28 last week I would still be clueless. She notice that after 3 months my tummy was too swollen and advised me to get massage outsid3 since there is currently no Venus tech to do massage at SonoBello. I'm best to train all staff the same that way customers don't get misinformation.”

“So, although the people I met seemed very nice, I feel shorted. My experience was not the best, hopefully this was not their practice. I hate leaving poor reviews but I assume this benefits the practice in improvement strategies.
For starters, I wasn’t given ANY instruction for pre-op; no paperwork (although I asked for some and was told there wasn’t any), no dietary instruction, no antibacterial soap prior to the procedure. At the time of my procedure, I was given the meds I grabbed from the pharmacy. And from what I assume, it went okay. But the procedure went longer than anticipated and I wasn’t told why. When being placed in the garment, I was told I needed to change into the smaller one because the one she put me in was too big. It wasn’t tight enough. So my caregiver and I had no instruction on this either. The paperwork given post-procedure includes the info we should’ve been Given before hand. Meds were put in the bag with no instruction. I had no clue if I should take them with my prescription meds or not. I called the number on the paperwork that said I could call anytime day or night for any questions or concerns…only to find that untrue. They couldn’t answer anything and asked me to call back the next business day. I feel that there should’ve been more communication, and explanation but instead I truly felt rushed. I even had to stop and all the first nurse what is it that she’s wanting me to sign. It was just point and sign, flip, point and sign. It’s been two days for me and I’m hoping it gets better. I’ll try to update after my weeks check up.”

“Your first appointment is not with a doctor, is with a person who will try to convince you to do the procedure even if you qualify or not. Rachel convinced me to give them $2,600 deposit promising that I will get the results I wanted. But that money is not refundable. If you decide not to do the procedure or if the doctor says that you don’t qualify, you will loose the money. Oh, and she lied in the application to finance the procedure. She put a wrong BMI so they approve it. You’ll not get to see the doctor until the second visit. So, if you don’t qualify you are wasted. $2,600 less in your pocket. Yes, I had front and back liposuction but I didn’t have the results I was expecting. Because I didn’t qualify but they did anyway to take my money. All are lies from the moment you cross the door. Another thing, you only get to see the doctor twice, the evaluation (after they take your money and lie to you), and the day of the surgery. That’s it. Your follow up visits are with a nurse. They didn’t put me a drainage nor told me that I would need massages after the surgery for a better recovery. I found out all that after all the pain a mess. I also asked the doctor if something go wrong during the procedure what they will do. She told me that they will call 911. I asked her if there was a hospital near by and she didn’t know. Yes, I was irresponsible too for letting them do the procedure in me but I was blind with all the lies. So, if you are planning to go to Sonobello, ask to be evaluated by a doctor before you sign any paper or give them your money. But my advice is to go to a plastic surgeon office. They are now financing the procedures and you will be evaluated by the doctor in your first visit and have all the follow ups with him or her. Don’t waste your time and money. They only cares about your money.”

I sent a picture of my credit card and license and after that, the communication stopped. You would think that they would be anxious to follow up with you if you’re trying to pay them $7200. But that was not the case. I got tired of trying. I was the only one putting in effort to get the ball rolling. Dr. Steele warned me that the rib area might be a little sensitive, but tolerable and quick. “So the staff here are great. I had a consolation in Nov 22 and scheduled surgery for Jan if 23. Your consolation is set up with a surgery cordanitor and she takes pictures of you then shows them to the surgeon. He told her to book the surgery while I was there. Long story short when I go to my preopt the Dr was honest with and didn’t think I would be happy with my outcome so the surgery was canceled. Now my complaint is not about being cancelled. I’m greatful… my complaint is that I paid 8000.00 and I have not received my refund!!! So don’t pay any money until the preopt! I’m not happy Sono Bello! Do better!!!”

“My nurse was Kam, she was great. A lot of personality, very sweet. Shes had lipo twice and gave me so much advice. And helped me decide on my third lipo section and thank goodness for that because my body is looking snatched thanks to her. Dr. Wright did my surgery. He has 30 years of experience and you can tell. I was scared because I've seen a lot of tiktoks where doctors are just jamming that stick in so fast and aggressive. My doc was gentle and thorough. This is day one after surgery and I feel great. “Do NOT BELIEVE the hype! Sons Bello is a scam! I am a former patient. Made the mistake of believing their “salesperson” doctor that they could reduce the fat in my thighs & love handles. Then I went home & was bedridden for 8 days as fluid & blood POURED out of me from the surgery. The only time I could get out of bed was to go to the bathroom. I literally dripped the fluid & blood as I walked back & forth to the bathroom. The fluid & blood seeped through the STACKS of 5 towels I laid out on my bed. It poured out so much that not only did it deep through the stacks of towels, it made it to my $1,900 mattress, which has an outline of my body in dried blood spots. It’s RUINED. All I have to say now is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, DAMAGE YOUR BODY, BLEED & LEAK FLUIDS FOR DAYS & THEN GET NO RESULTS! Going to Sono Bello was a HUGE MISTAKE. They really TAKE ADVANTAGE of women like me who are desperate to get rid of unwanted fat. I PRAY you have the discernment to JUST SAY NO!”

“I went in for simple lipo and came out botched. I have a permanent seroma because the doctor was way too rough during the procedure. He was also listening to loud rock music the entire surgery and refused to listed to me when I was screaming in pain.
I have spent thousands of dollars in seroma drainage, after care, and massages to get my swelling and scars to go away. I eat healthy and workout, and it’s been over six months since my procedure, but I’m still super swollen and looked better before.

My doctor never even bothered to look me over after my procedure. I begged to have him meet with me and make sure I was healing, but he was always too busy.

They also lied about my recovery time. They say it takes 1-2 weeks. It took me at least 2 months to get back to normal mobility.

One lady in the waiting room told me she had a major injection from her surgery and had to get rotten skin cut off. Another patient said she got her thighs done and was in the most pain of her life. She said they lied about her recovery time too.

I had 2 C-Sections in the past from my pregnancies and the scar runs from the belly button down. Dr. Patel stated he was going to remove my pouch with the C-section scar. To my horror he didn’t remove my C-section scar he only removed some of the extra skin under the belly button. He removed my belly button and left me with what a call “half moon” no more belly button. I requested to speak to him after I saw what he did and he told me that I have to wait until the 6 months are up and he “might” but he’s almost certain he can’t but “might” try to give me a normal belly button. I still have extra skin in the stomach since he didn’t pull the skin like he said he was. I am very dissatisfied, disappointed and sad to know that I spend all that money and will never be able to wear a bikini like he promised. Staff is amazing, every nurse, the personnel at the front desk, they are awesome and they are the reason I’m giving this place 2 stars otherwise they would get 0. DO NOT go to this place.”

“I don't even understand the 5 star reviews, I went in this spring for a consultation. During my appointment Victoria looked me over and gave me an approximate quote of $12,000. and booked me with Dr. Patel here in the Dallas / Addison office. She had me approved for Care Credit and asked for a $2000. non refundable deposit. My appointment with Dr. Patel was the following Monday. During my preop meeting he told me that the $12,000. quote wouldn't even begin to give me the results I needed. He said I had to double it or I wouldn't be happy and he was even hesitant to preform the surgery unless I agreed to the extra cost. Dr. Patel even went as far as to tell me I would look worse than I do now if I go with the original plan. Needless to say I didn't have the surgery, I have tried to contact Victoria several times to see if I can use my deposit on their other non surgical options. No response from her or any Sono Bello employee. A big rip off.”

I don’t know what else to say the surgeon who did my procedure was outstanding we listen to music through the whole procedure I like my music loud over the sound of the buzzing and I honestly song the whole time and had a conversation with the surgeon while he was proceeding to do my procedure. We talked and laughed like we were old friends I can honestly say the only pain I felt was after the procedure and the day of the procedure because I had it at 6am but the day after nothing I’ve been walking around haven’t a been lifting anything heavy bending over have been actually doing what the doctor has asked, taken my meds like the doctor prescribed I actually stopped taking the heavy medication the next day but everything else I’m on it and the water and I feel great Thanks to Sono Bello.”

“Not a good experience.

My first consultant was Mary Schwartz. She reassured me multiple times I did not need skin removal. I was also advised I would only need 4 days off of work. I paid the down-payment, not realizing $2k was nonrefundable. I was scheduled to see Dr. Southard.

Dr. Southard immediately said I needed to add skin removal to make the procedure look right. I also needed to get my blood pressure under control. I explained to Dr. Southard that I am resistant to ladicane. I watched her document it in my chart.

I told Mary the info. She said Dr. Southard was wrong and she tried to schedule another doctor. I declined, saying I wanted to wait.

A few months later I decided to not do the surgery. Mary told me about the nonrefundable part. I decided to have another consultation.

I have the email with the appt. date and time from Mary herself. I show up and the office is closed. A receptionist arrives and tells me Mary never scheduled the appt. and she isn't in the state. I waited to see Mary's boss, Jennifer.

Jennifer said I would need skin removal. Jennifer said I only needed 4 days off from work. I stressed I work in law enforcement. She promised I wouldn't need more than 4 days off. We added the skin removal and she made my appt. with Dr. Atun.

A nurse advised I would need 1 month off of work due to being restricted from strenuous activity for 1 month. That's a lot more than 4 days...

Dr. Atun says I need skin removal. I tell Dr. Atun about my resistance to ladicane. I specifically explain to Dr. Atun that my problem area is my pubic area. I asked about compression in the pubic area after surgery to make sure it turns out how I want it. Dr. Atun said I did not need to worry about it because he was cutting that area off.

Day of surgery. The nurse gives me the cocktail that is supposed to make me relaxed and loopy. I've never taken any of the meds before. I tell the nurse that I'm still anxious and the meds weren't working. She leaves to tell Dr. Atun. She returns and says he said no more meds. The nurse was treating me as though I shouldn't be able to stand on my own. I felt completely normal and did not need help.

Dr. Atun did a few incisions which were mild in pain. He said he was injecting the ladicane and fat melting fluid into my abdomen. The pain was horrible. I cried and told Dr. Atun I was freaking out because it hurt so bad. He told me if I freaked out he would not do the procedure. Dr. Atun left the room so the meds could kick in. I decided to focus on calming down.

Dr. Atun returned and began the lipo. I felt everything. The only part that was numb was the center of my abdomen. I sobbed, couldn't catch my breath, jerked away, and said I was in pain. Dr. Atun only said to remain still and that I looked great.
Dr. Atun said he was going to test for dumbness before starting the skin removal. His testing for dumbness was to slice across my abdomen. I yelled and started sobbing again. I felt him cut me from one hip to the other. I told him it hurt and to give me a minute to recover. He didn't wait. He injected more ladicane and immediately cut again. I felt the second cut on my right side. My left side was numb. I told Dr. Atun I felt the second cut and the stitches. He said "that's impossible." And continued to work. He stitched me up and left the room.

This man wrote in my chart that I handled the procedure well.

As soon as I got in my car I sobbed, heaving sobs. I went home and was wide awake until 11pm. I was told by the nurse on my 1 week appt. that most patients sleep the entire day due to the cocktail.

My recovery was great, easy, painless compared to the procedure. I felt like I had really sore abs from an ab workout and that's it. I was able to move around without help the very next day.

I am disappointed in my results because my pubic area is not flat like I was told it would be. It

I think my experience shows that Dr. Atun has absolutely no bedside manner and does not care about his patients.

I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the nurses. I love all of the nurses.”

“I left work early to make my 4:30pm appointment. I arrived at 4:15pm to fill my paperwork, by 5:00pm I noticed folks coming in after me & being seen I just thought maybe they have a different type of appointment than I do no big deal. Another new comer just like me showed up at 5:10 with a 5:30 appointment & was taken back about 5mins after I was which was 5:25pm. When I finally saw someone, Jessica, she asked me to show her my problem areas then advised she didnt "think" I would be a good candidate for lipo, but a less invasive treatment that would require multiple visits. She stated that she would grab the lady that does that particular procedure to explain more, she then returned & said the lady wasn't available to come in so Jessica proceeded to show me before & after pictures, during this whole process she made the comment to me "you don't have fat" I'm 200lbs mind you so my reply was "yes I do" she then said "you do but you dont, its your body" not sure what that meant however I still asked about pricing & was trying to make a decision on my payments options & what was available. I guess I was taking too long because she anxiously said "you don't need to make a decision today" which I understood but I came planning on deciding. Every bit of time was about 15mins after waiting almost an hr to see a Doctor I never got to see. I felt very discouraged after years of trying to decide & find the right solution for myself I'm still nowhere. I will not be using Sono Bello.”

“My surgery was April 30th with Dr. Atun and it was painful! The meds b4 surgery did not work at all. 65% of the surgery REALLY hurt. I was told when I feel pain let the surgeon know and he will numb that area again and move to another area until the numbing kick in. That did not happen. In fact, Dr. Atun said, “Don’t tell me how to do my job!” I replied, “I didn’t tell you how to do anything. I asked if you can pause a few seconds.” Then maybe a few mins later he said he’s done. So I asked is he done bcus the procedure is truly finished or is he done bcus I complained about the pain? He said saying things like that hurt his feelings and he’s done bcus the procedure is done. Tears could not stop rolling down my face. As I waited for my husband to sign me out Dr. Atun came in to see if I needed pain meds bcus I was crying. I told him I understand he’s double certified and does this procedure all day every day but he lacks empathy for his patients bcus I am a woman who has never had surgery nor given birth and this procedure was painful for me and he not only disregarded my pain but he was dismissive and rude. He put his head down apologized and walked away. Every patient’s pain tolerance is different but either way, the surgeon works for the patient! This is a life changing expensive procedure and it’s not just what you say it’s how you say it. With all my heart I believe he stopped my procedure and was not truly finished. Praying I won’t need a revision bcus my surgery was pure hell but if needed I will definitely get it bcus I dnt hve thousands of dollars to just give away. My areas I got done was upper and lower abs, waist, back bra rolls and pubic.”
