I had to call more than 3 times because i had an infected wound and when finally the nurse saw me she only taped it and told me to keep like that

After that they were supposed to give me the venus legacy but after all the time knowing i had a cancer history they decided that I would not qualify fir the treatment and gave me 200 dollars refund
Shouldn’t that have been addressed before when i was signing
Now after 6 months my belly botton is closed and they said only appointment with a nurse practicioner so im pretty sure the response will be that i need to pay again for it to be reconstructed
When i told the front desk person i rather see the doctor because of my bad experience with the nurse she became very rude and nasty
When they should treat us with courtesy and respect
We trusted them with out life and bodies we pay a lot of money since is not a cheap place at least listen to out concerns and understand our questions and doubts

I completely understand if it had remained the revision, not really; however it does seem the additional fee should have included an additional garment especially since my reason for being there was a revision.

I was getting liposuction in different areas of my upper body. Not only did I have 100% confidence in her ability, but when I did my due diligence on her, I was actually looking forward to having the process done. Throughout the procedure, she was a true professional, knowing exactly what she was doing even to a point where she literally was able to, avoid a secondary procedure which I had paid for which she told me she would refund because she didn’t think it was needed. She is a true master at her profession.

The offices of Sono Bella 100% professional from the second. I went for my consultation until my first follow up which I had just completed. I felt like I was the only patient that had were more than friendly. The nursing staff were truly professional. I am very pleased with my experience now I’m about a week and a half out and I’m starting to see results and I’m very pleased.

“Would not let me talk to a doctor or nurse with my questions before preop. Below is a copy of the email I sent to their office manager, and I have yet to receive a reply or refund. I do not recommend this business and I would not let them touch my body. Hello Jennifer Brinkmann, My name is Christine S and I am a Sono Bello customer requesting a refund of my $2500 deposit I placed on March 21, 2024a copy of my receipt is attached to this email) I received a voicemail from Lauren yesterday June 24,2024 stating that you approved my request. I want to make sure this is indeed truly happening and when I should expect my refund as I have had problems with Sono Bello communication over the last two weeks. I can not move on from this experience with a new provider until my deposit is received. As a manager I am sure you'd like to know what led up to my refund request so that other customers don't experience the same. I chose Sono Bello because I was interested in their laser-assisted liposuction techniques, combined with a skin-only tummy tuck. I understood that the cost was more than double what my traditional cosmetic surgeon quoted, but I decided to proceed due to Sono Bello's advertised expertise in body sculpting. I visited the facility in March, but I still had several medical questions that the sales representative couldn't adequately answer. I believed that once I spoke with a medical professional, these issues would be easily resolved. Consequently, I placed a deposit of $2,500. I intended to lose some additional weight, so I waited three months before scheduling my surgery. This is when the problems began. I had two specific medical concerns that needed to be addressed before proceeding with the surgery. First, I have a severe allergy to surgical glue, and I needed to know how they would close the wound from the tummy tuck. Second, I was informed by the sales representative that, due to my thalassemia trait, I would need to have surgery with a particular surgeon in Tampa, which is six hours away. This was confusing, as I have had over 12 operations, and my thalassemia trait has never been an issue with any of those surgeries. On June 14, I called the office and requested that a medical professional contact me to address my concerns. The receptionist assured me that someone would get back to me by Monday. When no one called, I followed up on Tuesday, June 18, and was again reassured that someone would call me back. However, no one did. On June 20, I called again and spoke with a receptionist who attempted to answer my medical questions. She stated they did not use surgical glue, but she couldn't specify how the wound would be closed or what type of adhesive strips would be used. When I asked if she was a medical professional, she admitted she was not but said she worked there. She promised that someone would call me back, but no one did. By June 21, I called again, expressing my frustration and feeling like a neglected customer. I was told they were very busy and that my call would be returned. As of June 24, at 2:00 PM, I had not received a call back. During my fifth call to the 1- 800 number I requested a refund from the corporate office, but I have yet to hear from them. On June 24 at 5:04 I did receive a call from Lauren who attempted to answer my questions. I asked before she began if she was a medical professional and she stated no but she worked at Sono Bello for 3 years- I expressed my concerns again about the validity of her answers but she pressed on and tried to answer the questions I had. Left with no other option I explained the issues again. When she became silent on the phone while we were talking, I asked her if she knew what thalassemia was and she stated, "No, but I'm googling it right now. You need to give me a moment to educate myself so I can answer your questions." I instantly lost faith that Sono Bello was a safe and professional place that would prioritize my medical needs. ”

When I met up with Raquel, she radiated such warm happy energy, I can tell her intentions were about my happiness, more than gaining a client… she educated me about the whole procedure and what to expect. “First and Foremost, I will NEVER go to a Sono Bello facility again!
I felt everything!!!

After being told by the OR staff that I was just feeling the pressure when the cannula was jabbing in on my back side (liposuction tube/stick tool), when I explained no, I can feel it...the doctor jabbed me again and I jumped off the OR table and yelped!!!!
Then the OR staff was instructed to give me some more... assuming it is lidocaine .... and she removed the cannula and started on another area...
But what they fail to tell you is that now you will be left uneven!!!
After months of recovering and swelling has gone away, you can see the differences and it is horrible!
I have been requesting a copy of my medical records for quite some time now, and I want to say it has been over a year... I have to find the fax transmittal; but recently contacted them via email, the Sono Bello in Fort Lauderdale, back in September and completed a medical release form again and was told I would get my records once corporate reviews my request...

After numerous requests by phone and email, and I have the documentation to prove it; I have yet to receive any records.

This is illegal and want my records!! I already filed a complaint with the medical board, BBB, and will keep going until this is rectified!”

“I have made numerous attempts to schedule my revision surgery after the surgeon failed to address an area that I had already paid for. Unfortunately, I had to wait six months to recover from the initial procedure. When I informed them of my move to Atlanta, GA they assured me that they had another facility that could perform the revision. However, when the time came for my revision, about eight months after my surgery, they argued with me and insisted that I go back to the original location in Florida. It has now been a year and a half, and I have been back and forth with Sono Bello trying to schedule the revision. Instead, I have been placed on a waiting list, while they continue to take money from other women who are hoping to achieve their dream body, only to be deceived. I am currently facing a $10,000 charge on my Care Credit Card for half of the surgery that was incomplete. My advice is to avoid having your procedure done here and seek out a reputable plastic surgery professional instead. This is not the place to go for quality service.”

“What I had done: full back, arms, outter and inner thighs.
After working in plastic surgery, I chose Sonobello because I wanted to avoid general anesthesia due to a longer recovery period post surgery.
The procedure is performed awake, and it is uncomfortable but it's not impossible. Trust me, it's totally bearable.
The best part is you go home the same day with all your garments and medications for recovery. At 2 weeks post op I was going dancing with my friends, that's how fast I recovered!
Day of surgery I was 198 lbs and by my 3 month follow up, I was down to 183 lbs!
The staff is excellent. They made me feel very at ease. My doctor was Dr Villadolid and she did an amazing job on my body.

“Guys!! Don't come here for Gynecomastia surgery!! They do not remove the Gynecomastia, they just cut pieces of it off, something I was not aware of before hand!! Imagine saving for your whole adult life to be able to get the procedure and it's done terribly. I went in having Gynecomastia and I left still having Gynecomastia. I'm 6’ / 210lbs and I've been into fitness most my life, point is my case was not severe at all. When I asked why I still have Gynecomastia, they just shrugged their shoulders and said that's the best they can do. Satisfaction guaranteed is just a slogan for them. At the time of the appointment I called to inform that I was on my way, and my friend was 3 minutes away. The response from the receptionist on 8/31/2022 at 4:10 was awful. I think she wanted to go home and did not care. I asked to please speak with he manager 4 times , and she completely ignored me. I requested for my friend to go into the office because she was already there , but the young lady said, I have no information on her. It was a horrible experience. We worked and lost money time plus being treated so disrespectful by this lady who answered the phone. I think Sonobello might be a great place but this is for them to remember that the front desk and staff represent them. I take my business somewhere else.”

“I had an appointment scheduled for today in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office 6/8/2022 at 9:00am that was supposed to be with Dr. Conde. I made this appt 3 months ago at my 3-month checkup as I am unhappy with my results and the nurses clearly see and agree with me I need a revision. I originally saw Dr Eva Grohmann and she no longer works there, therefore I had to see another Dr for my 6 month follow up. I drove 1.5 hours to my appointment just to be seen by a nurse and I stated this appointment was specifically made with a Dr for review for a revision and was told the dr is not in; she is on vacation! The nurse took photos, NEVER took my WEIGHT today which they usually always do and was told there is nothing they can do without the dr there. I asked if the dr can just review the photos and get me on the schedule for a revision as I traveled far for this appt. They said no, I have to meet with a Dr. I explained the situation and Jamie was the one who scheduled this appt in the first place back in MARCH! No one called to reschedule me and now the front desk said there is nothing they can do and they can’t “fit” me into their schedule until AUGUST 17TH!!!!! I started crying and asked for a manager and the manager refused to meet with me! I had this appointment scheduled for 3 months now and I am getting married December 3rd which I would need the revision no later than the End of AUGUST to heal! The office knows I need earliest appointment like 9am so I can get to work and they keep pushing the blame on everyone else! I have paid over $8,000 and I only did this for my WEDDING! I have called multiple times, multiple numbers for HR/Corporate and no calls back! I am about to turn them into the BBB and dispute the charges and hire a lawyer as this is not completed properly! Something needs to be done ASAP, this is not right how you treat customers!”

Once they have your deposit, don’t expect call backs, patient care, concern or really anything unless you plan to call 50 times a day and contact corporate. Also.. DJ was the rudest person and flat out lied to me on the phone while trying to insinuate that I lied or that their was a miscommunication. Everything was very black and white. There was no miscommunications I was just flat out lied to and instead of rectifying the situation properly in the first place, I was put through actual hell for weeks”

“I purchased six procedures, they charged me 10,864, but the day of my surgery I just got 5 procedures done because they ran out of medication. I called them and let them know that I didn't want to go through the process again and I needed to know what my new balance was. The first time I was told by the receptionist that the person who could assist me with this matter was Kristy (my consultant) and they will pass the message to her.
I called several times for almost 3 weeks and they never returned my calls, when I called last time the front desk told me that the manager was aware and will call me back but it never happened.
Finally, I received the bank statement but they had BILLED the lender for all 6 procedures and it was sent 2 days before the 5 procedures were performed. I then called the lender and was told they would contact Sonobello Ft. Lauderdale office.
I received text messages from Kristy stating that there are no refunds but she could give me a credit for the services not provided. She offered me Venus Legacy treatments and garments. When I refused she texted me back saying she got busy and D.J. would call me. Till this day I haven't received any call and I still haven't met D.J.
I contacted their corporate office one week later (last Friday) and if they are not able to solve the problem I will be forced to take legal action to stop this fraud and my credit record from being harmed.”

I was forced to wear the face covering even the doctors inside the office were walking without it. I refused to wear a mask because based on Governor's and Florida's Surgeon General guidance and recommendations released on February 24th, it's not mandatory anymore to wear a mask, it became optional.
So I was humiliated and forced to leave the office.
Worse experience ever to be treated like this.

“I actually appreciated some of my experience. What is ruining it for me is the Ft Lauderdale office's COMPLETE lack of communication with a patient. Initially I was assured Saturday appointments were no problem for follow ups, etc. I have tried to schedule a post op for my 1 month on a Saturday for 3 months now. What's worse is the office won't call me back, and when I leave messages they are never returned. I call during normal business hours and they don't answer. This office has ALWAYS had a problem with scheduling and their complete lack of respect for a patient is horrible. With a previous visit, I was rescheduled SIX times in ONE day with incessant phone calls, texts and emails and the office still got it wrong after I arrived at my scheduled time. This place can't keep a promise much less a scheduled appointment.
I wish I never got involved because clearly their clients are only important until they get their money. After that you're chop suy.

Update: after posting this review, the office called to make it right. Finally had a follow up and everyone seemed to want to help make things right. I appreciate the effort going in to correct the mistakes.”

“Stay away from this place! They destroyed my abdomen. I asked the doctor specially to advise me if I wasn’t a candidate and he assured me I would have great results (I have it in text). My abdomen was left with indentations and uneven areas. I spent over $1000.00 doing massages to try to improve the appearance but the damage was done. When I contacted the manager Danely Torres, she assured me I was going to get a full refund since I had such horrible results. Months went by and when I called to follow up, I was told she was no longer with the company anxtI was only getting 50% refund.
Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable office and an experienced doctor. The only thing SONOBELLO cares about is the money!”

It's a busy location I love it. Tells me they do awesome work. A little more organized with paper work is needed make sure the monthly payment meets the person budget first we finally worked that out very happy a lot of it due to how wonderfully busy they are just make sure you slow them down to give all your required financial docs too. Beautiful people. I was scared they help relax me. I screamed a lot during surgery don't worry i just a big baby i scream getting blood drawn . Next day with meds i will.be fine. i recommends going. My body language was just nervous and scared. I hated i scream ouch the whole time. I hope my doctor got it all and i hope I didn't run him off sooner. Raquel is beautiful person. I wish we cam have a women's group with Sonobello I know men go to a people group once a month or more. Very therapeutic to have only folks that love yoze guys have our own club. With potential new people to help them feel comfortable and become excited to just go for it. My nurses totally rock. All of them. Just do it. I will be back”

6:45pm 10/15/20 - UPDATE: My surgery was canceled by management and I was issued a full refund. Just to be clear, I never asked to cancel the surgery as it was something I was looking forward to and was very excited to have Dr. Frederick as my surgeon.

This is a quote from Sono Bellos president "we measure success by the positive responses we’ve received from the thousands of patients we’ve helped around the country."...what about the not so positive responses Mr. President??? Well, let me tell you dear readers how the top brass deals with dissenters...
So, I was sent home without getting the surgery because Mr. President didn't want me to be medicated while upset. I thought that seemed caring enough but was strange since I wasnt raving and had only expressed my discontent via this post. I even told Danely the assistant practice manager and Danielle the area director that I would be changing the review once the surgery was completed (both women were incredibly professional and caring). Unfortunately for me, this review was not viewed by top management as an opportunity to do better or to be better. Top management chose to act in a purely transactional manner, just like the sales staff had treated me. Clearly this transactional chop shop type of mentality stems from the top down. Honestly I dodged a bullet so I truly have to thank them for that. It's no wonder some of the employees are either sharks or apathetic AF. It starts with you Mr. President and the culture you have perpetrated. Dear readers, I can't tell you whether you should or shouldn't get a procedure done here but I do urge you to proceed with caution. Listen to your gut and pay attention to any red flags...they're there to warn you. Thankfully I was given my money back without a hassle and was able to check Sono Bello OFF my list of professionals. Best of luck.

10:45 am 10/15/20 - I'm currently in the waiting area, waiting, to be seen by a nurse to prep me for today's surgery. We're 40 minutes in and nobody has given me an update. Even though the office failed to call me yesterday with a time for my surgery and other strange front desk mishaps, I wasn't truly nervous about my procedure until this morning. It started after waiting outside for over 30 minutes with two other women while the front desk staff failed to unlock the door. We were finally let in when a sales person Raquel called one of the women asking if she was still coming to her appointment. Yeah, we were all outside the door. The worst part is that she proceeded to argue with us about how the front desk didn't receive any calls from us and that perhaps we didn't knock hard enough. She then turns to me and asks for my name and if I had an appointment . Yes, she sold me a $7,000 surgery just 3 days ago...she too was my sales person I felt AWFUL the way she didn't remember me and then didn't even ask how I was feeling. I've never felt so used especially since Raquel was so nice 3 days ago($$$$SURPRISE$$$$). Further, not one of the front office staff, Lauren or Julie have acknowledged me or offered any kind of comforting words while I'm sitting in the waiting room while kind of freaking out about the surgery. They've left me to sit here long enough by myself to write this review. I am so nervous now going into today's procedure. Wish me luck. I'm hoping the back of the house is much better than the front. This is the most disappointing experience so far.”

Yes, I was stood up! :-( I called to ask about a Zoom link, I was told the person calling me would provide. “The Sono Bello team in Ft. Lauderdale is AMAZING. From the second I walked in for my initial consultation, to the day of my procedure, to my post op, the whole team was attentive, friendly, and took really great care of me. I was very very nervous going in and they took the time to answer all my question and made sure I was comfortable and fully knowledgeable of the steps to come. On the day of my procedure I was really nervous and the nurse stayed in the room with me and chatted with me until I felt better. Dr. Frederick who did my procedure explained to me exactly what would happen and he delivered in every way and more! The procedure was a breeze, the only day that I felt uncomfortable was the first day and I was able to manage perfectly fine with Tylenol. It’s only day 3 and I cannot believe this is what I look like. The results were even better than anything I expected. Honestly best, friendliest, nicest, most professional team of people.”

“The staff in their Ft Lauderdale location are awesome but the procedure itself left very disappointing results. My stomach is botched and I've been saying that even when I was swollen and bruised. This is a very expensive procedure to not have the outcome you were promised. In order to correct this I would have to undergo another more invasive surgery which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place and come up with more money. Due to COVID the surgeon that did my procedure is no longer available and they're not sure if she'll be back. I have to look at my botched stomach everyday (and regret I had ever done this) and I still have to pay for something that I am not pleased with since this was financed.”

“Frankly the whole experience was not the greatest. Although the staff is nice, there were several issues that don’t deserve 5 stars. Fail #1: I was supposed to have a jacket for compression for upper torso underarms...didn’t get one until day 11, which caused excessive pain and lymph node swelling, lasting for 8 weeks. This swelling didn’t show up until day post op of no compression to a significant area of treatment.
Fail #2: Excessive pain and abnormality of lymphadenopathy and no reassurance that this was normal/abnormal. Also had an incision that would not close and kept draining for 2 weeks and at 10 day f/u was given skin glue and told to glue it myself since steri-strips we’re not working. I didn’t get to see the doctor until 7 1/2 weeks post-op.
Fail #3: At my one month f/u which was actually at 6 weeks, I did not receive the Scar treatment and firming cream as displayed in their literature that I paid for. I had to ask for it. Very unorganized.”

“I was a little apprehensive at first when choosing to have the lipo procedure done because it seemed like such a daunting task when trying to decide who to choose for the procedure. Luckily, I made the right choice when I visited the Sono Bello location in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Not only was the staff amazing but the consultation was thorough and informative. I was afforded any question I had and happily answered. It started at the front counter for me and permeated the office. I was greeted by Lauren at the front desk and I honestly could not have asked for a nicer and warmer greeting to the Sono Bello office. Lauren was incredible and the perfect person to have throughout the experience. I was impressed with the professionalism and still a family and friendly type office demeanor. We discussed the price and I was so impressed I pulled the trigger that day and scheduled for my surgery the next upcoming Saturday. The surgery went extremely well and was awake the whole time and couldn’t feel a thing. Minimal pain afterwards. Perhaps the equivalent of a hard gym workout. Healing was quick and I was walking around in days like nothing happened. The swelling went down after the first week a little and by the third week much more. Just finished my 1 month post op and I can already see the difference. I can only imagine what the results will be after 3 months and all the swelling and healing is complete. at the front counter for me and permeated the office.
