“We’ll start with the consult. I worked with Kristy, super easy and simple process. I told her what I wanted and I decided to set up the appointment. I saw vita for my pre op along with Dr.Al and it was a great time. Vita was amazing and really made me lose any anxiousness I had. Dr.Al went over everything he was going to do the next day and I was overall happy. Surgery day comes and I was greeted by my nurse Hannah. She was amazing! She really helped me with any anxiety I had because I do not like needles. She helped distract me while Dr. Al did the injections and I honestly didn’t even feel anything. Dr. Al is such an amazing surgeon and his communication skills post op are amazing. It really helps me relax that my surgeon responds so quick with any concerns that I have. 3 days later my soreness has pretty much died down. I’m now 5 days post op and have some info I’m sure others will find helpful…
First off I have to admit I kinda rushed myself into this process and probably should have slowed down to do more options research before signing the paperwork with Sono Bello.
With that said, I think choosing this specific office was a lucky move.
I had my consult Monday, flew out for work Tuesday and returned Friday with a lot of questions and anxiety because I’d had some drinks with my team. Reading through the pre-op package it said no alcohol the week prior to procedure and to contact the clinic if there were any slip ups. Contacting the clinic and getting a response was harder than I expected.
But post op it’s been even more difficult to get responses from anyone on my actual procedure team.
Hannah and Mallory were my nurses and my surgeon was Dr Centeno. The whole team was welcoming, kind and reassuring. I think they could tell I was nervous and second guessing my decision.
They had trouble getting the IV in and after 2 unsuccessful attempts Mallory got someone else to do it. When they put it in, it felt wrong and I told them that doesn’t feel right. She assured me it was fine and that she wouldn’t have been able to flush it if it weren’t in a vein. Sure enough it wasn’t in my vein and it’s a good thing there wasn’t an emergency because the saline went into my muscle and my arm was wildly swollen as a result. It took two days for my arm to absorb the saline and return to normal size.
The procedure itself was only painful in a few spots mainly near the spine (I got my waist and abdomen done) and because you’re not totally out you’re able to tell the dr when it hurts. I don't think they did anything about it like add more lidocaine to the spots but you’re loopy enough that you just doze in and out despite the pain.
Post op you’re still kinda loopy and out the door before you’re really fully back to normal. As a result we had no chance to tell them about the IV issue and since we knew it would self resolve my husband said to give it a couple days and if it wasn’t back to normal we’d make a stink about it…lol. Luckily it resolved on its own without any lasting issues that I can tell so far.
Now I admit that I am a nervous Nelly over this procedure but it certainly feels like the moment the money is paid and the procedure is done, it’s very hard to get in touch with your procedure team. I left a couple of messages for Hanna and Mallory none of which were returned. When you call you either get the receptionist who answers your questions or takes a message then you don’t get a call back. It’s not super reassuring to ask questions and only have the word of a receptionist on what/how you should do/proceed in any give instance. Id like to think they do this because of the churn and burn business model and not because they already have your money an no longer care but the only time I actually got a call back was before the procedure when I was desperately trying to make sure it was still ok to have the procedure since I did mess up and have 3 drinks the week before. Once they did the procedure I couldn’t get a call back.
I did however get a 3 days post op follow up call from Dr Centeno. I did tell him I was seeing more swelling on the right vs left side which he said was normal at this point. I failed to ask him about the pain near my spine which I definitely will be asking about at my one week post op appt which will be in a couple of days. I’m between garment sizes which worries me as we went with the size up and the medium is still too tight while the large feels too loose day 5. Will revisit rating after my 1 week appt.”

“I had a horrible experience it's been 2 years since my procedure was done to be honest with you the doctor never touched my stomach I had to go thru hell and hot water to get some of my money back. Do your research on the Doctors because the Doctor they chose for me didn't know what he was doing or he just didn't care he lipo my panty line area not my stomach my love handles was done but not even out right, they blamed me and treated me horrible. I cry everyday.. It's all about the Money I paid $6000 to look like a fool smh. Heartbreaking Please do your research The way they would look at my body when I would come in for my checkups told me a lot They said if you're not satisfied with your results that they would do the procedure again lies, lies the Doctors refused to touch me and I saw more than one Doctor. My advice to anybody that wants surgery started working out, drinking water and eating healthy it works if you get the surgery or not you still need to workout, eat healthier and drink water.”

I was comfortable through the entire procedure never felt an ounce of pain and am ecstatic with the outcome. The surgeon, Dr Mucci, and his nursing staff were very concerned about my comfort level at all times, and in my opinion out of the five star rating deserve a 10. What was amazing to me was I was waiting for the procedure to start and it was almost was already over. “BE VERY AWARE , YOU MUST SIGN that if the Doctor finds you a good candidate and you change your mind they take over $2,500 NO MATTER WHAT! IF YOU SMOKE ( YOU HAVE A HIGH CHANCE OF SKIN NECROSIS/TISSUE DEATH) and the Doctor still will work on you the next day (with high risk of necrosis) after meeting with him and unless you say "do you think I should wait to minimize the risk, then he'll reschedule the operation. However, this made me feel very unsafe and untrusting of them and their practices. So, be very aware..... move with great caution and only agree if you take this and everything into consideration. Please read everything before you're obligated to pay for something you begin to not want after they scare you. I know from my own personal experience. Be blessed and be safe.They very NICE until you change your mind.”

“One word- GREED!!!!! This place is just GREEDY! I HATE how you have to meet with the consultants first (SALES ASSOCIATES) before you see the Doctor. The Doctor has no say in pricing they do. The sales reps are just greedy they don't care about giving you a decent rate they're just charging anything not going off of your BMI, just quoting prices. They get a commission off of you. You can't even see the Doctor until you put $2000 down non refundable after you pay that you can see the Doctor. A tummy tuck is not actually a tummy tuck more so skin removal and everyone does not get the same results depending on how much muscle damage you have, but the SALES REPS don't tell you that. The doctors are really good there, but the SALES REPS at SB is a major turn off! They smile and act like they care but you're just a walking dollar sign. Again, Doctors are amazing, but the SALES REP, NEED TO GO! They would be better off hiring nurses and giving them commission, at least they wouldn't be SALES REPS!!”

Today was my follow up appointment and I was told I’m still swollen and that will go away with a little more time - to reveal even better results. I’m not sure how long of a review I should write but there is so much to say ! From the day I walked into the Sonobello office in Troy for my consultation with Nicole, I have had a fantastic experience. Nicole was ( beautiful ) honest, straightforward yet “soft” with her explanations and answered all my questions as well as questions I didn’t realize I had. Over the next several days or week, she continued to stay in contact with me and talk with me on a “friend” level, as she knows this is a big deal, a big decision. She was perfect.
Then 1 week prior, I met my doctor and when I left I felt even more sure about this !
My procedure was upper & lower abs, waist and back ( area under bra ), basically my entire torso.
The day of my procedure was a great experience as well. The nurses, Hannah & Brooke, had such positive and caring energy. They love their job and you can tell ! They make you feel so comfortable … you cannot help but be happy.
The procedure itself, for me, was almost fun. You are awake, again the nurses have wonderful energy, they are talking to you and making sure you are comfortable, which I was !
I got home, slept and woke up very sore, as expected.
I didn’t need the pain medicine prescribed, I just took Tylenol. Of course the soreness is to be expected, it’s your core and getting up and down from sleeping position isn’t easy but once your up, your legs, arms and mind are fine and it’s not bad.
The next day I showered. I took off compression garment and COULD NOT BELIEVE it was MY BODY in the mirror!! One day I’m unhappy with what I see in the mirror, thinking I don’t recognize myself anymore - and the NEXT DAY - I’m so happy and again barely recognize myself again … but in the best possible way !
I cannot say enough positive things.
Every single person I came into contact with at Sonobello in Troy made me feel happy.
My surgeon was Dr. Centeno and he was wonderful.
Again, I’m thrilled with my results so far. I thank Nicole for being the exact person I needed for my decision making process and I thank my nurses Hannah & Brooke. Thank you Dr. Centeno.
Thank you Bianca and Morgan and everyone else whose name I wish I could remember.

My thighs turned out uneven and there’s a huge dip in the left. It was also very painful during the procedure for me; you just get some tablets! That’s it before the painful lidocaine procedure; it’s not painless. You’ll regret going here. Don’t do it, get real traditional liposuction. They only show the best photos. I only gave two stars because my love handles do look a bit better but that’s all the results that were retained. I had to re-lose the tummy fat the traditional way.”

As for the procedure a little disappointed in the fact i was in the waiting room over 4 1/2 hours and no one ever called me or came out the entire time to tell me how Donna was doing until she was 10 minutes from being done and then told to pull up the car . “Beware! Anytime you go for a plastic surgery consult you should be meeting with the actual surgeon. No one wants to meet him/her on the day of surgery!

And Nicole (who is only a Patient Care Associate) has terrible followup after the consultation. I emailed her at the end of December to let her know that I was ready to make a deposit for lipo. She acted like I was bothering her when she finally responded on January 3rd and I have yet to hear back from her.

But the wait was a blessing because I have since found a real plastic surgery center. I met with the actual surgeon, who was wonderful. She told me that lipo would be a waste of my money, and that I needed a full tummy tuck. She took the time to examine me, discuss my history, answered all of my questions, and she is only about $1500 more than this place charges for just lipo.

Please save your money and stay away from this place, get more than one opinion, and not from a Patient Care Associate!!”

“April 4 2021 I had laser liposuction and my results were horrible my stomach is botched. They told me what I wanted to hear just to get my money I paid $6000 for my procedure I went to every appointment did everything they said watch the videos and in the end they blame me I saw four doctors because I wasn't satisfied with my results and each doctor after the doctor that perform the procedure when they looked at my stomach area I can tell by their reactions my stomach was botched. I want a refund! They tell you if you are not satisfied with your procedure they will go back in not true. I'm so unhappy with my results everytime I look in the mirror I start crying it being a year and I'm Still 😡.I was told if I'm looking for a snatched waistline I need to have cosmetic surgery. I didn’t feel anything when it came to the AB-ex and umbilical reposition, the liposuction on the other hand didn’t feel that great but for for having so much done I expected a hard recovery, a lot of the post op pain I’ve had was from the lipo. I strongly recommend if you get multiple areas of lipo to get professional post op massage and Sono Bello gave me that info when I met with Dr AL prior to surgery. “I want to say everything went well. Staff is great. I have a flat stomach and no more back fat it worked. It looks great. But I made a huge mistake in judgement. PAIN!! First the pain during the procedure was excruciating. I felt everything. After the procedure I was in pain on my left side pretty bad. Each incision hurts so bad don't even touch or bump them. I have one on my lower left side that I sat on about 8 times and it was like a knife in my back. Do you like waist trainers? Test one first because you have to wear one for 1 month 24/7 then 12 hours a day for 2 months. SO UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I am on day 11 and still extremely uncomfortable. My lower back is numb and I can't sit for long. COST! WHAT WAS I THINKING!!! I could have bought anything. Down payment for a new car, all new appliances, new carpet in 5 rooms in my house plus more. I could have hired a trainer and a nutritionist and still had money to buy anything. I lost my mind! This is a big decision and I made the wrong one. YES it works and it looks great but if I could go back I would have never done this procedure. This is about me not you. If this makes you think first this is what I want you to do. Think first.

NEW 8/11 ALMOST 2 MONTH SINCE PRODECURE
I can see my stomach is changing. Not as flat as previous. I still ware the waist trainer daily more then 12 hours due to the fact sometimes it feels like my intestines are coming out of my stomach. My left side has serious pain and swelling. I have had issues with my left side since day one. My entire summer was uncomfortable. Can't sit for long it hurts, can't lay to long on my left side it hurts, even my under ware hurts. Dresses are the best for me and boy shorts. The waist trainer they provide is not one-size-fits all. I still regret this procedure.

9/9 Almost 3 months in and I still regret my procedure. Not because it didn't work but from all the pain I am still having on my left side. The holes they put in your skin I have 9 of them. I have been using scar cream for 2 months and the holes are still there and completely noticeable. I have 9 scars that may not disappear. Everyone that sees them will know I had a procedure. Still wearing the compression garment and will for months to come due to my pain. I have more pain when I sit. Good luck to all of you who decide to do this. I still wish I did not.”

Dr.Lakin went above and beyond what I had expected and made me look like I never had a teenager and a pre teen. This includes a DEFINED abdomen, little to no fat on my flanks, and most importantly, (which I mentioned to him was my main concern), NO MORE POUCH!! “The surgical nurses at Sono Bello in a Troy, MI were great! Nicole let me hold her hand the entire procedure, used distraction, and did anything possible to keep me comfortable. Unfortunately, I found out that I can never do surgery awake again with the pain being unbearable. If it weren’t for Nicole and the nurse she was training I wouldn’t have been able to do it! Dr. Lakin did an amazing job and was time efficient to help lessen my discomfort. Only thing I didn’t like was being on the medicine, plus an extra Xanax and being discharged. My husband didn’t feel like he was given enough post op instruction on caring for me. It would be a good customer service tool to treat this like any other surgery and have the responsible party go back after the procedure to meet with the surgeon and/or nurse to review how the procedure went, post op care, follow up etc. Overall, I am very happy with my results so far at 4 days post op and can’t wait for the final results once swelling has gone down!”

“Where should I start??!! Sono Bello is the most expensive place to receive cosmetic surgery. Their prices almost doubles the price of many places...With this you would think that you are going to come off the table with a decent amount of difference. They tell you to have realistic goals....Ok! But taking 1 or 2 liters of fat gives you way less than realistic goals. There is a Facebook support group of Sonobello clients who are all angry because they hate their results. I'm only 12 days PO so I am trying my best to give it sometime because I know I'm swollen. However, everyday I look in the mirror I look the exact same. If it was not for the EX, I do not think I would have a difference at all. I was told I had 1 liter of fat removed. Just one , literally for almost 10 thousand dollars. That is ridiculous....I gave it 2 stars only because the doctor I had was really nice but the work is not great at all. This is all of Sonobello. My initial consultation was very comfortable, honest and up front.
I've been wanting to have this procedure done for over 10yrs. I was so comfortable with the consultation, that I finalized my decision and scheduled my appointment the same day.
Meeting for my Per-Op consultation with Dr. Lakin was even more encouraging, he asked what I wanted done, as well as made a recommendation that completed my goal. His nurse was amazing during my visit as well. I DID NOT feel as if they were just trying to make money.
The procedure went very well. My level of discomfort during the procedure was minimal to the point you would clinch your teeth for a second,but nothing to bring tears or ask the Doctor to give you a minute because it hurts so bad. There was slight burning when given the numbing medicine and slight burning with the first "wand" which I guess was used to loosen up the fat before he began the suction. (Sorry I can't remember the exact terminology for the instruments).
During my procedure Dr. Lakin talked to me made sure I was okay as well as each step let me know what was going to happen next and what I may feel. His Nurse was awesome as well.
The next day of course I was sore and bruised but again, it was not excurciating pain. I was very tender to the touch, but again manageable.
Im definitely thinking of having some more work done. Dr. Lakin (Dr. Snatch 😊) got me together. I'm so happy with how I'm looking and it's only been 3 weeks.”

“I started this process off in November 2019 with a consultation with Nicole. She was extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable in the procedures process. She spent as much time with me as I needed. She has remained involved in talking to me about my healing progress post op.

I chose to have 6 areas addressed including the Trisculpt EX. This required 2 days of procedures (in DEC 2019). Dr. Mucci was my doctor for both. He was skilled, kind and professional. He took his time with me. I am still in the healing process but so far I am very happy with the results I am beginning to see from the work he did. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to get many areas done.

Thankfully, I had my 6 chosen areas split into 2 procedure days. Even after 3 c-sections, recovery was more difficult than I imagined. With that said I am a larger woman and they did a lot of work on my body, there is a lot of healing to accomplish. Having help post procedure is a MUST. The swelling post op takes time (weeks) before you may start to see results. I have stuck to the recommend post op treatment plan so I get the best results possible. Hopefully a month or two from now I can re-review And sing praises of my end result!

The nurses at SonoBello are wonderful and kind; I was lucky to work with Jakeita (post op) and Gina (pre-op &procedure). Both of these ladies were honest and real with me which I appreciate.

“This place is an absolute joke. I wish I didn't have to give them 1 star, they deserve 0. All they care about is how much money they can get out of you.

I was all set to have this procedure done. I paid the 1st installment, however, things changed for me financially. I called Sono Bello and told them of my situation and asked if they could refund me my first payment. I was so bummed that I couldn't have the procedure but said that once I was in a better place financially, that I would be back.

I WON'T BE GOING BACK!!! They have refused to return my 1st payment. It's not like it was 1,000s of dollars, just $250. They mentioned some BS about signing their contract and that the money I paid was non-refundable. That's a JOKE. With all of the money they have coming in, they couldn't afford $250?????

I'm sure there are other places out there that do the same thing Sono Bello does. I will be researching them and giving them my money.

Plus, I read some of their reviews and watched some YouTube videos. I'm glad I didn't have anything done there. Catastrophe avoided.”

“I can't say enough about my experience at Sono Bello - Troy, Michigan. I first heard of Sono Bello about a year ago on their radio ads. However, about a month ago, my coworker was bragging about the procedure that he had two weeks prior at the Troy Location with Dr. Al-Mufarrej and the team. This prompted me to make an appt. My first interaction was with Kristy, who explained the procedures and how tri-sculpting is done, she was awesome and after speaking with her, I was sold. What's also nice is the 6-month/1-year interest free financing (that's always a big plus for me). I was fortunate to get in so quickly to have the procedure done. At my pre-opt appt, I met Jakeita, who is such a gem to Sono Bello. She took my measurements and photos and explained every detail step by step from how to prepare for the procedure to what to expect during and after the procedure as well as follow-up. That day, I also met the much talked about Dr. Al (as he is called). He lived up to my expectations with his award winning smile and such warmth. He explained what he was going to do and OMG, he did just that. Because of the experience in prepping for the procedure, the day of, I was so excited. Gina (nurse) was very kind and warm in relaxing me and I must say, being awake was a nice touch, though there was a little discomfort (like being numb at a dentist appt and feeling the little pinch or tugging). It was all bearable. It's been a week now and I had my first post-opt appt a few days ago, I met again with Jakeita and I was so excited to show off my new non-fat mid section. She told me that If I think that looks good, just wait until the swelling goes down, I was really gonna be impressed. I must say that this experience has been nothing short of amazing from the moment I stepped into the beautiful Sono Bello -Troy suite to the post-opt appt. My co-workers have noticed my body change and some are considering have the procedure done as well. I highly, highly recommend Sono Bello- Troy. Okay I am a little biased, but ask for Dr. Al-Mufarrej and especially Jakeita for your tri-sculpting experience.
